Fresh Five for Friday

Our bros from the great northern unknown (Maine) have delivered 5 new jams for the latest installment of the Bro Talk Five for Friday presented by Academy Cotton and the Headless Threadsmen. There are some gems here, a great soundtrack for whatever shenanigans you have planned for the weekend. Hopefully this rain will be gone by tomorrow so you can bump these tunes at your epic tailgates.

1. Ocean of Love (DJs From Mars Remix) - Darren Baille
BANGER. This song has a great build up, and the beat DROPS at 1:03. Great singing and simple vocals complement the rest of the song nicely.

2. Club Can't Handle Somebody - Mashup Germany

I'm not so much of a Kings of Leon or Flo Rida fan, but together they bring the heat. David Guetta is a genius; if you've been living under a rock for the past couple months you need to give his One Love album a listen (he's on the original Club Can't Handle Me). The Kings of Leon set up Flo Rida's high energy verses.

3. New New New - Bob Sinclair

Bob Sinclair is great, enough said. He does his thing on this track. If you haven't heard of him before, also be sure to check out World Hold On.

4. Shine On Low - DJ Phillistine

Ludacris has fallen off a little bit since Release Therapy and The Red Light District and seems to be forcing it a little bit now, but this mashup brings back a fun, party feel to his flow. His rap fits well over the techno. Definitely a great party track.

5. You Are Not A Robot - Hoodie Allen

Last week we posted about Hoodie's new mixtape, Pep Rally. If you haven't already, you need to download it. The kid has talent. This is one of my favorites off the tape. What happens when sick sampling meets great lyricism? Dope music.

October is here, and that means that Bro Talk will be back on the air in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for show times and check back next Friday for some more jams.
